VIII International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects is starting
VIII International Congress on Energy Fluxes and Radiation Effects (EFRE-2022) will start on 3 October. More than 400 researchers from 17 countries representing 135 research and educational institutions will take part in its work. This is no less than two years ago.
is worth noting that the organizers of the Congress are the Institute of High Current Electronics of the SB RAS, Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, P.N. Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Tomsk Region Administration, National Research Tomsk State University, Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building, and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics.
The program of the Congress includes 4 scientific Forums. These are the International Symposium on High-Current Electronics, the International Conference on Modification of Materials with Particle Beams and Plasma Flows, the International Conference on Radiation Physics and Chemistry of Condensed Matter, and the International Conference on New Materials and High Technologies, which joined the Congress four years ago.
These conferences will discuss current issues in science and technology in the field of pulsed energetics, physics of charged-particle beams and powerful microwaves, fundamentals of interaction of particle and photon beams with matter, physical principles of technologies in the field of material modification, chemistry, biology and medicine, based on the application of particle and radiation flows.
Sections of the new conference will present developments related to 3D printing, nitrogen ceramics, functional materials and coatings, additive technologies, self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, and the use of pulse energy in chemistry, biology, and medicine. It is worth noting that the Congress goes with the times. New sections appear, old ones are updated, focused both on obtaining new knowledge and development of existing topics in the field of energy flows and radiation effects.
A special and unusual section of the Congress for the first time will become a cycle of popular science lectures “Easy Ways to learn Science” which will be held under the aegis of the All-Russian Festival NAUKA 0+ and will start up a new educational project for the pupils “School of Scientific Leader”. More than a hundred high school students from Tomsk will be able to attend lectures by leading Russian and foreign scientists and ask them all the questions they are interested in.
